So my major lesson learned from the #gpg/#pgp thing today is not to trust warnings by EFF in the future – while parts of their warning were factually correct, they were baiting for attention in annoying and unhelpful ways.
This culture of publishing exploits and issues in a publicicty focused way is disturbing. I had hoped the EFF was beyond this needless hyping of vulns. Apparently not.
(That's probably why he needed that 24 hour hype cycle...just putting on the finishing touches and readying the red carpet) 😂😂😂

Just slide up to close media, it's faster than clicking on the "X".
Also, in settings put the NSFW to zero (see the bottom of the attached media), media won't be hidden after 5 seconds.
One complaint I have about #mastalab is its image viewer's behavior when trying to close it...the x is in a bad spot (for me) and it auto hides very quickly
I may just have a fundamental misunderstanding of the #snap concept, but the way it was described to me made me think it would introduce weird dependency issues
I was really thinking I wasn't going to use snap packages, but the one for Discord actually works without the weird text glitches on Ubuntu. Guess I'm using snaps...
